I've noticed how lazy I've become with regards to keeping in touch with friends.
Why is this? I mean fair enough I'm pretty busy with this course but it's not that bloomin' challenging to stay in touch.
Okay okay, I refuse to beat myself up and take the martyr route. I'm busy and I'm always broke but let's not kid ourselves here Amanda, it's not a big effort to write a letter/email/pick up a phone.
*laugh* Yeah right, like I'm going to write a letter. People have to have email addresses/mobile phones/something technical to be able to communicate with. It's crass I know but I look around me and it appears to be the dominant forms of communication I have these days. How shite is that?! When was the last time you had a letter written to you (I don't mean banking and other bills type letters)? When you meet people and want to stay in contact, do you ask them for their postal address so you can write them a letter, no of course not, you ask what's their mobile number or email address.
I love my friends and when we're together I feel happy and we always make the same promises each time..."we should do this more often...we should get together again soon...let's not let it go for so long the next time..." You're probably familiar with this. But it happens all over again, the bridges that we were so determined to keep float away again.
I'm going to try and rectify this or at least try to get to the bottom of it. I have the next four weeks to at least make a good start at sorting this out. I shall keep you updated.
