In an attempt to make some extra money I've spent this week working for Montagu Nursing agency.
I always dread working for the agencies because of the stress of being placed in a new environment for every shift. It's becoming easier but there is always the element of stress and sleeplessness the night before. But it is becoming easier.
This week has been different. I've spent the entire working week at Outpatients in the Royal London. It has been a wonderful experience working there. I spent some time last year, as a student, at Outpatients in St. Barts but this was different. I was a member of staff this time around and I had to pull my weight as such. It was just so fulfilling to feel like a fully working member of the team. I have to add that the nurses I worked with were wonderful. From the inspiring and wonderfully approachable modern matron to the staff nurses who were so patient and willing to help me out and teach me whenever I came across an unfamiliar situation. I couldn't have asked for a better week as an agency health carer.
