Ithaka is a fantastically inspirational poem that makes me feel better when I feel this low, especially this verse:
Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you're destined for.
But do not hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you are old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you've gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
I'm trying to see beyond this negative aspect part of breaking up and trying to focus on what I have gained from it. I'm a great believer in each encounter being there for a reason and I'm trying to glean from it whatever the message is which will provide me with the next step forward.
Right now I think it's what I said earlier; go into the relationships not with one or the other but to use both heart and head.
