Two down...

...one to go. *smile* I've just had another exam today. It was a practical exam, or as it's called an OSCE (Observed Structured Clinical Examination). I am not good in exam situations and today was no different.

The exam today was to examine our ability to teach a junior student a nursing skill. We have to show that we are safe and have the knowledge to carry it out, know the rationale and are able to pass on these skills to others. It's okay teaching someone but having one of the lecturers sit and watch and listen to you adds a bit of tension and stress to the situation.

Hopefully I did okay and passed it. I had a lovely lecturer for my exam. She's the same lady I had for my module three OSCE (year one). She's traditionally trained and it's obvious. She's very gentle and ladylike but you can see that if she were matron she would have a very disciplined well run team under her.

Anyway, one more to go. This next one I'm definitely not looking forward to in any way shape or form. It's a two hour exam where we sit in a large hall and write an essay on a given scenario. Grim.
