Follow up to scan

Phone call came from my GPs secretary yesterday to make an appointment for me to follow up on the results of the scan I had on my back.

When I turned up and had the scan last week, I tried pulling the "I am a nurse you know, if you want you can give me the results now" card. It had worked in Oxford but here, no such luck. They just told me I would have to wait until my GP had received the results. *sigh*

So now I have an appointment, which the secretary was quite adamant to inform me, is straightforward and routine. If it is so routine and straightforward why didn't I have an appointment for the results of the previous tests? If I had the results when I had asked at the hospital I am sure that I wouldn't be winding myself up and catastrophising as I will be until I see the GP. Oh it's just so frustrating.
