Can I just say that I feel great today. I had a lovely workout at the gym - mentally and physically last night and my second day at the new placement was fantastic.
I didn't tell you did I? Oh sorry. I started my new placement on Monday. It is wonderful there. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The patients truly reflect the great care they receive, they're so positive. Incredible really. It's a renal ward so everyone there is in various stages of renal failure. They're just so strong and it's not an easy life for them. God bless them.
The patients are encouraged to take charge of their own care and are viewed as partners in the treatment rather than "victims". Inspiring. Totally not what I am used to. But then again I've only really looked after confused elderly people.
