I went to my friends Alex and Alex's wedding at the weekend. What a lovely lovely day. I turned up late, no real surprise there. Squeaked my way into the chapel - I was wearing the bike leathers so not the most subtle of fabrics.
The chapel is gorgeous. It's a very old building situated in one of Oxfordshires picture postcard villages. The setting was perfect, with a backdrop of fabulous clear sunny weather...could you ask for more. The village brass band played during the service and they sounded really good. Lovely accoustics within that church.
After the service and after the photographs taken outside the chapel everyone headed onto the reception. This was held in a converted barn not far from the village. Honestly, this wedding was picture perfect. From the bride and groom, bridal party, chapel and reception....perfect.
I then had to leave to go to a going away party for a friend in N'pton so no alcohol at the wedding...that was a very strange feeling. I'm Irish, at a wedding and sober...the only odd thing for me that day. But a great day all in all.
