Bloody family

Families - can’t live with them, can’t lose them either...

Well I have certainly learnt my lesson - do not assume when family members ask for help that they want it or will appreciate it when it is given.

I was asked by my sister to re-design and build my aunts website which I did. I spent many hours and days designing it, nevermind the amount of money I spent on software and themes so she could have a choice of site design. Well there I was chuffed to bits, finished building the third dummy site and having ftp’d them over to the server space I rent.

A reply came back the next day telling me that she was getting someone else to do it - the guy who had done their first site. But she did say thanks and she would pass on my designs to the guy for ideas for the new site. Well bugger that. I’ve moved those sites now. Give him ideas with my designs that I paid for and spent time on? I don’t bloody think so.

I was incensed and rang up my sister to ask her what the hell was going on. She was shocked and disappointed in our aunts response because she had gotten confirmation from her before she’d decided to ask me to do the work. Well there you go, we have both learned our lesson.
