Well here we go again. I have handed in my notice as of end of last month and have another two weeks of work left before I start my new job.
It doesn't feel that long ago since I first started at ICU but it has been almost three years. I cannot believe that I've been qualified as a nurse for four years now. I was telling a newly qualified nurse that I'd not long qualified myself and when she asked how long I was shocked to realise how long it was.
But now I'm heading onto a new career track. Into research now. A short term contract which requires me to travel all over the country. It will give me some fantastic experience and allow me to prepare the way for new and hopefully improved experiences. I cannot go into details now as it's all pie in the sky at the moment. But the future is definitely looking brighter.
