So I dragged my butt out of the bed, ironed the interview outfit which was nice and safe, and then washed my head to my toes. Got out of the shower and started to sweat. Not one of those little sweating on the forehead and upper lip - no, my back, neck and face were streaming. I opened the window to cool me down but that just made me shiver and increased my sweating. I couldn't put my make up on because it ended up sliding off. My shirt stuck to my back and my hair was in the biggest knot ever it was like one big dread lock. The bloomin' tights were not going on well because of the mammoth sweating session I was having and I'd cut my leg when I'd shaved it in the shower. It bloody hurt. If this was any indication of how the feckin' interview was going to go then I was shagged.
But I persevered, with the occasional panicked swearing thrown in for good measure, and then headed into town. Luckily thanks to Rays cool and calm driving skills they were very easy to locate.
When I arrived I think I was the first interviewee as I was 15 minutes early but they went ahead and commenced with interview. The first stage was a written test. This was testing my nursing knowledge. Now I hadn't done any nursing for roughly two years so I panicked. But they had given me a half hour to complete it so I managed to get it done with time to go over and make any
The second stage was a face to face interview with two senior members of the team. Now they were smashing. I did enjoy this bit. They were so very easy to chat with and it seemed to fly by. They were both very approachable and lovely girls. One of them had a gorgeous tattoo on the inside of her wrist. But hey, check out me being all miss professional, I did not start a conversation with her about tattoos. So they finally got me to shut up and directed me to the next stage of the interview.
The third and final stage was a telephone test. I had a fake client phone me and I had to obtain the required information from her and then prioritise this information after the call. I was incredibly nervous at this stage. I just felt that I spent the time repeating myself and apologising but I did not say feck once. I was the epitome of professional.
Finally it was over and I had a nice chat with the lovely girl who was guiding me and supplying me with coffee and water. I really hope I am successful and get a job here. They seem such a great bunch. *cross fingers*
